Valeria Solari (1979, Chile) is a Berlin-based artist and designer with a degree in Multimedia Design from the University of Viña del Mar (Chile). In her artistic practice she combines her interest in living organisms, biology and the exploration of the connection between organic forms. For her, art is a means of expressing a common language that transcends borders and contributes to common understanding in a changing world.
Solari works with biomaterials, focusing on algae and microorganisms. Through observing their processes, she explores the relationship between life and decay, micro and macro worlds, and the interactions of organic materials. She collaborates with living forms, investigating their changes over time. Her work reflects these organic transformations and how they might mirror human behavior and influence.
